Grazing Dinner with Architecture (initiative)
Grazing Dinner with Architecture was curated by Sara Bokr and Circ Studio as a way to introduce architecture and architects to those involved in the art field in the region. At its core, the event merged between exhibition, dinner, and performance, reasserting architecture not as a static object but as an act of hosting, storytelling, and public intimacy.
Its first edition was held at Satellite in Alserkal Avenue; a one day event that brought out almost 200 creatives in the scene which included photographers, musicians, fashion designers, filmmakers, architects and designers over a private gathering around two long grazed tables where they mixed and exchanged conversation around an exhibition of architectural models and drawings.
The night involved an introduction by Sara Bokr, a talk by Nawaal Saksouk about architecture within other fields, music sets mixed by musicians Cascou and Vzline, and an exhibition of models, structures and drawings made by foundation students from The College of Architecture, Art and Design at The American University of Sharjah.
