Omooma
(furniture)
Circ Studio is constantly thinking of creating spaces that explore how architecture can live within furniture.

Omooma (أمومة), meaning "motherhood" in Arabic, is a spatial chair designed to give form to an intimate, often overlooked interaction: a mother nursing her child in public. Responding to the absence of designated, dignified spaces for this experience, Omooma reclaims furniture as shelter, care, and agency.

The chair offers a moment of pause within the everyday. Its cocooned back absorbs ambient noise, while the forefront features a curtain that can be opened or closed as preferred. Ergonomic wooden armrests support the body during nursing, and the space beneath the seat provides space for storing bags.

Omooma becomes a portable room, a silent support system that allows mothers to remain present, comfortable, and uninterrupted, wherever they are.
